Dhanush Short Background :-

Dhanush is mainly an Indian movie actor, lyricist, producer and playback singer who has worked predominantly in Tamil film industry. On 28 July 1983 Dhanush born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father’s name is Kasthuri Raja who is a well-known director and producer of Tamil Movie. His brother Selvaraghavan also is a director. Dhanush completed his study from Thai Sathiya Matriculation High School and St. John’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School Alwarthirunagar.

His 1st movie was “Thulluvadho Ilamai” (2002) coming-of-age film directed by Kasthuri Raja. Dhanush hit songs has got international attention for the “Why this Kolaveri Di” song, which became the 1st Indian video song to cross 100 million views on YouTube in few months. In 2010, Dhanush won the 58th National Film Award for Best Actor for the “Aadukalam” Tamil film also he has won 3 Filmfare Awards, 7 Filmfare Awards.

 

Family & Life :-

His father’s name is Kasthuri Raja who is a well-known director and producer of Tamil film industry. His mother’s name is Vijayalakshmi. And His brother is Selvaraghavan also is a director. On 18 November 2004, Dhanush married Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who is Rajinikanth’s daughter. Now they have two sons named Yatra who were born in 2006 and Linga who were born in 2010. Dhanush’s elder son Yatra studied at the Thai Sathiya Matriculation High School and his younger son Linga studied at the St. John’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School Alwarthirunagar.  He has two elder sisters who were doctors.

 

Acting Career :-

Dhanush started acting after being pressured by his brother director Selvaraghavan. In 2002, Dhanush made his film career debut with the “Thulluvadho Ilamai” movie directed by his father Kasthuri Raja. This film becomes a big hit movie all over Tamil. Also, Dhanush was mixed up by his brother Selvaraghavan for “Kadhal Konden”. After that he released few movies like, Kadadhal Raja (2003) directed by his brother Selvaraghavan. Thiruda Thiruda (2004) directed by Subramaniam Siva. Sullan (2004), Dreams (2004), Polladhavan (2007) directed by Vetrimaaran, Aadukalam (2011), hindi movie Raanjhanaa (2013), Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014), Shamitabh (2015), Maari (2015), Thodari (2016).

In 2013, Dhanush made his bollywood film alongside “Sonam kapoor” with movie “Raanjhanaa” directed by Anand L Rai. “Raanjhanaa” was one of the best dhanush hit movies in 2015 and he won several awards for this movie. After that in 2015, he release “Shamitabh” alongside Amitabh Bachachan directed by R. Balki. In this year he released his another hit movie “Maari” directed by Balaji Mohan. This movie was successful at box office.
